If the head disappears, you are above 4/32 of an inch of tread. If you can see the entire head, it’s time to replace the tires as they won’t be getting the needed traction anymore. Not changing your tires when they’re too worn can be very dangerous while driving, especially in slippery conditions. Your car may have a hard time getting traction as well as braking. Not only that, but the tires won’t be able to hold air pressure well and can lead to tire blowouts. If your tire blows, you can easily lose control of your car, leading to an extremely dangerous situation. Due to this, make sure you check your tires often!
