The 3.0L V6 engine of the highest trim will give you 224 horsepower compared to the 2.4L 4cyl engine’s 166 hp. So if you are looking for a more powerful vehicle, you might be inclined to go with the higher trim of the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. However, if power isn’t a concern, you might like the lower trims instead.

Comfort and convenience features are different in the higher trims, as well. You’ll have comfortable cloth seating for the Mitsubishi Outlander ES 2.4, but if you are looking for leather seats, you’ll find them standard on the Outlander GT 3.0.

If you are looking for driver-assist features, you’ll find more of them standard on the Mitsubishi Outlander GT 3.0. Not that the Outlander ES 2.4 doesn’t have them, but there are a few features, like the Blind Spot Warning, that aren’t available on the lowest trim.

So, if you want a more powerful vehicle and more standard features, you might want to go with a higher trim. However, if you are just looking for a safe and reliable vehicle that doesn’t cost as much as other SUVs, then you can find yourself content with the Outlander ES 2.4 trim.
